My Path as an Electrician

My name is Evan Wedel and I've been an electrician my entire adult life. I started on this career path when I was still in high school and I chose to take an electrical training course at the vocational training center. In every graduating class my teacher would pick an exemplary student and offer to set him up with an interview with a local electrical contractor to continue on this career path. I was fortunate enough to be chosen from among my peers for that distinction.

From 2005 to 2014 I worked with this Action Electric, Inc. based in Billings, Montana. There I learned many different aspects of the electrical trade. I appreciate that they made sure their employees had diverse training so each one would have a well-rounded background in electrical work.

In 2014 I started my own electrical business. I really enjoyed being a business owner dealing directly with customers and having control over jobs from start to finish. My business in Montana did quite well in the first year but then my wife, Corrin, and I got a big surprise...

In 2015 our son Gabriel was born and we had to make a difficult decision whether to stay in Montana, where I grew up, or relocate. We decided to try small town life in Holton, Kansas and we absolutely love it. Initially I started working for an electrical contractor in Topeka so I could focus on being a new father, but once we got settled in the time seemed right to start my own business up again.

Corrin and I look forward to raising our family here for many years to come and getting to know everyone in this awesome community. Please give us a call whenever you need a friendly local electrician and then we'll get to know you, too!
